Rapid Recall - 10 Minute Number Drill

The Rapid Recall Program tracks numeracy skills from the very basic to advanced. Its aim is to develop speed and accuracy in number facts.

THE TASKS PROVIDED:

Each skill has either a personal practise sheet or online activity.

EACH TASK:

The aim is to achieve no more than 2 errors for each skill within 10 minutes. When this is achieved students move on to the next skill.

For schools: Print your class checklist organiser

WHERE TO START:

Start the program at a level that is suitable for your students.

GETTING ORGANISED:

The tasks can be completed using printable personal practise sheets or online.

Print the sheets at the student's 'starting level'. This is best determined by the class teacher.

STUDENT'S LEVELS:

Each level is indicated by a color name and number making it easy for the students to remember where they are up to.

DAILY DRILL:

Each day try completing the sheet within 10 minutes (use our timer to keep track) with no more than two errors. If this is achieved, the student moves on to the next level.

SELF MARKING:

Each sheet has an answer section for self marking - these are folded under during the task.

A VERY POWERFUL FEATURE!!

STUDENT'S PREPARING FOR THE TASK:

For homework, students are able to prepare for the next day's task by logging in to studyladder - they can easily find their level by remembering their color and number eg red 3.

Students can either practise online (which is marked for them) or by printing a 'personal practise sheet' themselves. All sheets are randomly generated, so no two sheets are ever the same.
